Her Wedding Day

The tears in her eyes speak of untold happiness Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess The deepest reaches of her indescribable joy Her wedding day of laces and blooms to enjoy. Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess As she takes the vows to love and cherish always Her wedding day of laces and blooms to enjoy Before she has never experienced lovelier days As she takes the vows to love and cherish always She kisses the lips of her handsome beloved, Before she has never experienced lovelier days So beautifully attired, veiled, and white gloved. She kisses the lips of her handsome beloved Sipping the wine and carefully cutting the cake, So beautifully attired, veiled, and white gloved Quickly thinks what a lovely couple they make. Sipping the wine and carefully cutting the cake The deepest reaches of her indescribable joy Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess The tears in her eyes speak of untold happiness. written June 19, 2021

This a very nice heart felt poem but it is not a Pantoum. In a Pantoum ever other line rhymes in you have written your in couplets. This has been a favorite style of mine to write in so check out my poems if you wish to see the difference.

"Typically a pantoum is made up of two rhyming couplets, however, Western writers altered and adapted the form, the importance of rhyming and brevity diminished. So, pantoums do not need to rhyme." --from definition of Pantoum on Poetry Soup. I hope this helps, Charles.

Charles, I hate to disagree with you, but a pantoum does NOT have to rhyme. A traditional pantoum actually starts with two couplets! See definition of Pantoum on Poetry Soup. Thanks for your read and your comment.
