Pantoum

A poem with a verse form consisting of three or more stanzas. It has a set pattern within the poem of repetitive lines. The pattern in each stanza is where the second and fourth line of each verse is repeated as the first and third of the next. The pattern changes though for the last stanza to the first and third line are the second and fourth of the stanza above (penultimate). The last line is a repeat of the first line of the poem and the third line of the first is the second of the last.

Spring's the best season of the year, I feel Her warm breath drawing near. For, Spring provides April showers, a drink for May's thirsty flowers. I feel Her warm breath drawing near, shedding drops of rain crystal clear. A drink for May's thirsty flowers, as raindrops fall, Winter cowers. Shedding drops of rain crystal clear emerald leaves start to appear. As raindrops fall, Winter cowers, marking a transfer of powers. Emerald leaves start to appear, for Spring provides April showers. Marking a transfer of powers, Spring's the best season of the year.

I haven't seen this rhyme scheme employed in pantoum before. Very cleverly composed. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
