Working at an educational facility, I see these pink boxes all the time and the toothless smile of pride that accompanies them. I will now always think of this beautiful write.

Paul, this melancholy beauty speaks to me about a mother, mourning the loss of her little girl, who's lost in reverie of her. I feel the lovely nostalgia of your title and the wistful yearning of your poem in my heart and soul with a sad empathy that compels me to want to hug this mom.. This write hits me deep down inside. A delicately expressed yet powerfully emotional poem Paul.. Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan

Congrats, Paul: A dear memory. I always loved when the tooth fairy came. I asked Mum what the fairies did with the teeth and she said they used them as doorsteps. Imagine, ivory doorsteps. Hugs, SuZ

Tooth fairy boxes usually do bring lovely memories, Anne-Lise. In this case the mother's memories are tinged with sadness. Hugs // paul
