Her Last Christmas Eve

She just knew it would be her last Christmas Eve The last one with her sister This one needed to be special This one could not be missed A lifetime of memories to be renewed, Christmases in happier times Feeling the love of being Sisters and friends for over 80 years The twinkle of every light to be cherished Every carol to be sung Each word, a happy distraction And though they lived alone and Life for one of them was ending, It was Christmas, time to celebrate Time to make just one more memory

So blessed for that one more memory! My mom lost her sister just before they both turned 79. God still granted them a wonderful time together though they had no idea that it would be my Aunt’s last. Nice sentiments! Blessings, Mike!
