Notes About The Poem

The title was graciously suggested by Broken Wings...

Her Broken Wings

I had a vision
standing on a grassy knoll
surrounded by threehundredyearoldfortifiedwalls
The sun pressing heavily upon me
a brisk
          wind
                    cooling
                               my
                                        sweat
blowing from ocean to bay
Wiping the moisture from my brow

I looked up in front I looked up of me I in front of me beheld the most I beheld beautiful the most beautiful double double rainbow rainbow
No cloud stained the voluminous blue sky only blue miraculous beauty lost inthoughtofloosingthemoment I had a vision Flashes of wonder combing the heavens Silence norainfalling The darkness complete fathomless no echoing sounds of thunder claps disturbed the night Looking into the ebony velvet the night exploded with thousands of fingers of light flashing across the heavens For long moments the dancing splendor filled my vision awe struck and bewildered fleeting onlymomentsinalifetime I had a vision Beautiful words written so sweetly songs brokenfeathersondarkgentlewings Lonely pained memories and expressions of loss frozen timelessly forever never forgotten sadsad sadsadsadsad sweetsweetsweetsweet sadsad beautifulbeautifulbeautifubeautifulbe sadsadsadsad brokenbrokenbrokenbrokenbrokenbroken sweetsweetsweetsweet wingwingwingwingwingwingwi autifulbeautifulbeautiful beautifulbeautifubeaut brokenbrokenbroken sweetsweetsw ngwingwingwing (broken ifulbeautifulbeautiful wings eetsweetsweetsweet ((())) broken) (()) wings () ((())) O (()) () O Inexplicable marvels of emotion singular events experienced only once beauty lovinglycapturedintearfilledrefrains 08/10/15

I wish you could see it on my computer. The rainbow looks very different and the lightning and butterfly wings have color (looses a lot when uploaded). You are always welcome here and I am very happy you like it.

I see this was inspired by Broken Wings herself which I was wondering about!! It's got gorgeous formatting. Love the way the bottom looks like the wings broken in two. An ambitious and beautiful write!!
