Hello and Goodbye

I was alone sitting in the dim light. In a favorite place from long ago. I heard a man's voice on my right. The voice said a simple "hello" I looked up into the most beautiful blue eyes. I then took in the rest of his face, So handsome, I drew a quick breath, I couldn't disguise. He smiled, said another hello, in a deep bass. We easily talked for hours, had a drink or two. It was getting late, but I didn't want to go. I looked at him, he at me, and we both knew, It was time for goodbye, too soon after hello.

Shame time passes so fast; moments like that would be wonderful if we could lengthen them at will. Lovely.

You are right, instances that you don't want to end. But... Thank you for your kind comment.
