Hello, I'M Invisible
Hello, I am an invisible girl behind poetic words,
and known in every land for my bleeding ink; I dwell
behind self-imposed walls in a place silent so I can think,
where each sad brick is my sorrow and betrayal.
Within my strong walls my poems are free birds,
though invisible- and I surround myself with beauty;
with moody music playing in the background.
My writing desk ever loyal to me, and
I dine with a view of flowers swaying in my garden,
where on a shady porch my cat is sleeping;
The old books that dwell on many shelves are my friends,
and art on my walls are my dearest companions.
I am invisible, and
afraid to leave my haven.
I am a like a red rose folded
Are you willing?,
to peel back each soft petal,
and reveal the invisible girl inside.
