Hell of a Highway
Standing between the white walls
As my heart pounds my chest
Almost leaping out completely
Everything closes in
Slower.
And slower.
And s l o w e r.
A cushioned fall onto the concrete
Created with my grinded mistakes
Standing on my lies and my past
And who I used to be
Weak.
A victim of a 'game.'
That I never knew.
I never wished or dreamed
Or knew it would happen
But it came.
Slipping down a slope
The slope.
My slope.
Sliding down despair
Going further down
And further.
Way down.
Until I cracked.
