Held Captive
Prison is where I am..
I glance all around me..
Oddly there lies a reality that is free..
Enormous trees
Autumn is in the horizon
Leaves changing colors..
Amber and rust
Gleaming ever so brilliantly
With the reflection of the sun..
Incredible creatures roam the earth..
People and places..
All and everything living in balance and tremendous harmony
Equally and perfectly balanced..
Where lies the prison walls?
Held bondage..
All while the outside world exudes freedom and beauty
The forces within me are held captive
Held in captivity it is..
From sunrise to sunset
It is a vicious cycle
A never ending cycle
Cuts me like a knife
The blades of a knife, lies its daggers in me..
Feeling the wounds of the daggers..
Painfully..
Knock down the prison walls..
Knock it down to the cold hard ground
Absorb myself in freedom..
Live, love, taste, and smell freedom once again..
I received a prison sentence
Who has sentenced me to confinement?
To live a life of misery..
To live a life of detachment..
Living a life of seclution in captivity
It was I that sentenced me..
It was I that created the prison walls to live behind
Indeed was my state of mind
Created deep within me..
Being in state of lack
Being in state of need
Whom is the culprit?
Culprit is my grandest fear
Let us part ways with fear..
Saying goodbye to fear
Hello to Feedom..
