Heinous Betrayal

Secure within the mother’s womb. Sheltered from all storms of life Swimming, Swiveling, and Sustained. The countdown begun- A wide world awaiting, Eager faces looking, Windows opening, To Colour, Scent, Sound, Taste and Touch. But, Expectations shattered, Exasperation heightened, Execution begun, Excruciation settled, and Expulsion confirmed! Chopped to pieces, Down to trash. ‘The most unkindest cut of all’! Betrayal! Horrid Betrayal! Through aeons, History repeats. ‘Am I my brother’s keeper’? The Son of Man – sold out, with a kiss. Your poem carried the intensity necessary to deliver the message deserved, but it was terrifying to read of cruelty and abuse many people say they are fine with. Well-written, Valsa. Good luck in the contest. Bill

I have no idea how they did that. It was, I feel, more compassionate. However, such a deed can never be described as such. Your poem, Valsa, is intense. This is a great piece of writing.

From the title, I assumed this would be about Putin, or India's support of Putin, since coal and fuel are so much more important than infants . . . . .

Thank you so much Seeker friend ! On watching a video on infanticide, I felt so strongly against this act of termination of the fetus.... ! The womb that should have fostered human life, turning into a slaughter house is the greatest betrayal !
