Heavenly Tribute
We put our limbs and twigs high into the evening air
Stretching ourselves as far as our roots would allow
Giving our mystical sky goddess an opportunity to land safely
She smiled at us with her rhinestone twinkle stars
Gave us a thumbs up in form of a streak of a comet
Called us her night soldiers; it was a heavenly tribute.
