My heart is broken,
and I fold my wings;
with grief unspoken,
oh, life sometimes stings !
Grief is a dark cloak,
and a hood to hide;
my words a faint croak,
as I seek my pride !
I wander the streets,
drinking black cafe;
it is raining sheets,
in a church I pray !
I am so alone,
have lost my best friend;
the trees moan and groan,
and in the wind bend !
Is this God's message,
to bend with the storms;
is this God's *lesson,
to flow with the *turns !
Some friends do not stay,
meant to go away !
