Healed
A heart that heals is a heart that works
Old clothes discarded to the floor
Why was I wearing such rags?
Old methods from another time
If I try harder they will love me
Creating unevenness, ripe to blame
Why did it hurt so much?
Because you were hurting yourself
Leaping off the cliff, screaming - Catch Me!
A crumpled mess lying at the base
Accepting the truth of it, mourn the foolishness
Not the self, change, learn, improve
It didn’t work then, more so now
Lifting with open intention, unfiltered
Calmer, safer - patient and gentle.
It is easier to let go and easier to welcome.
