Heads Heal In Time, Not Hearts
Storms of heart all around do when loom,
Buds unto flowers fail to blossom,
Wars that cast shadows far,
For too long tend to mar,
Fresh seeds planted whilst take time to bloom.
Yet, heads that the wars start,
Stand aloof and apart,
Watch helpless and mute how wars spread doom.

Poet’s note: The invasion of Ukraine not only has devastated the industry and commerce, it might also strike a mighty blow on its civilization and culture. The wounds of head might heal in time, but hurts of the heart last longer. How would it affect the people in time to come? This is the third limerick on the invasion of Ukraine after ‘War and pieces, and ‘History and hysteria.
