He takes care of me
'Cause he loves me
Fixed into his fern green eyes
he stares back with mischief
while I'm soaring.
He moaned three little words,
"I love you",
loved how it rolled of his tongue.
He loves with soul and heart
holding tight and never letting go
until days goes by and the nights chase.
She takes care of me
'Cause she loves me.
I took in her beauty, auburn curls,
spattering of freckles
across the bridge of her nose.
Dragging in a breath
not once did her gaze waver
there was no denying the appeal.
Pounding of drums,
love swirling round,
entwined two halves of a whole
a longing melody forever.
We take care of each other
'Cause we love one another
