He Just Looks Away
You must know, son, as their little brother
That when they call you things ugly and vile
Deep in their hearts they would have no other
When you’re older you’ll look back and smile
So, your brother mouths off and gives you a smack
So, your sister rues the time you were born
I assure you one day when you look back
You’ll be nostalgic instead of forlorn
He believed each and every insult
They had reasons for their hate and scorn
He was bullied at school as a result
Of being too weird to have been born
Now the only one left, it pains him to say
He rarely looks back—He just looks away
