My soul belongs to Him
He’s my light, my love, my friend
He makes a way where no way has been
He is the truth on which I depend
My heart yearns for His touch
He’s more than life – He is such
A glorious Savior, - oh, so much
Of true love, to which I must clutch
My spirit sings of His inspiration
Giving hope and faith to every relation
With grace and mercy, bringing elation
He grants the world a new day, salvation
With every thought, each dawn I see
There is a moment when I bend my knee
Plead with Jesus to please never leave me
It is His love that makes me feel so free
When I let go of the sorrow of yesterday
And all of those struggles which did dismay
I find myself assured that tomorrow’s way
Will bring renewal for those who’ve gone astray
Through all of the mourning, the psalms and tears
I’ve found love that grows stronger through the years
On my mind it abides and leads me in all my prayers
Reassuring my heart that there is nothing that compares
He is alive and living on the inside of my heart
Filling up my soul with a love that won’t depart
It grows more passionate as His joy does impart
Feelings that grow more beautiful than fine art
