Gasping – breathes of hope Puffing dreams, delighted goals Inspiring confidence, expectation Anticipation and courage, burning Away the darkness and doubt, All of the fear that lingers in the air Gulping – breathes of yearning Sighing joy, grace stirring the thoughts So that love brings the heart A sense of silence’s boasting art, Whispers of kindness, joy beyond thoughts Who glimpse a gentleness in the prayer A living witness to the heart who cares Racing through the wonders There are gifts that embrace The darkness, the clouds, the waiting… Amazing even the doubts, the fears With promises, embraces, erasing Every sadness – all despair With a wonderous faith, a tear… Like the tender dewdrop Falling soft, silencing the night Erasing the black with reflections From a heart who remembers It is God, our King, our life… Who quiets the screams of anxiety Removing all the heartbreak, the pain Replacing it with joy that speaks In poetry, psalms and wise words Avoided by demons, but brought to life By the One who causes hearts to tremble With pleasure, feelings – appreciation For all that His heart has weathered So we can be saved from the torment, the agony That tortures those who don’t know He IS!... The Master, the Maker, the Muscle Behind every success in this life we live Because His light guides us through the dark Into the glory of God’s forever – always Alive – throughout all time – because He forgives And gives grace to those who believe He IS!!!
