He Follows His Nose
He recognized a sophisticated scent
Someone elegant and extravagant is about
This is a fragrance a poor woman cannot afford
She was pink and plush, wearing feathers
Beautiful sky blue eyes that had startled the other suiters away
He began to make his move; recognizing her now
She had once upon a time been married to his cousin,
the luckiest man in the world
When she looked up and smiled at him, he remembered the last time he had
smelled this rich perfume.
He was hoping to smell it
again and again, up close and personal.
