Have you noticed how mature leaves fall
    
                                            Roofs of houses are blanketed 
        
                                                                 Do those houses slumber
                      
                                                                       Warm, protected
                                                                                
                                                                               Throughout winter

Then the patch of red oaks' skeletal limbs shiver
                 
                                      In each Boreas
                         
                                                   Maybe I, too, have matured
                             
                                                                Reaching the summit of my 
                          
                                                                                       Mountain

Incapable of going any further
          
                              Limited in movement
                 
                                               Thought, emotion


                                         
                                                     or

Have I reached a place 

                    Where new goals need
                        
                             To be set
