Inspired by Constance La France

written 6/30/2023

Under the calm umbra of oak trees dome Spirited dapple light sparks the old home. Emerald, green blades and spun webs In lace with morning dew, rhythmical ebbs. Spreading around natures white daisies A garden harmony, one with time crazies. A magic merry-go-round for delighted bumblebees And butterflies as they are not hard to please. With a taste of nectar on their lips and the sunshine In their hearts unseen while they dine. Time is daunting its wing steps forward, As it does its rounds sifting shadows onward.

The very first verse is compelling in its quality of rhyming and building impressive images with poetic skill. I felt forced to stop and relish the reading. As many as seven images in just two lines and all of them concrete: just fabulous. The same joy of reading continues till the end: sifting shadows onward. In Urdu they say: Lajawab: unparalleled under the perfect title Harmony. It's indeed great, Eve.

I assume this is for the contest. And what a fine poem you wrote. Delicate and elegant which should achieve a high rank. Splendid descriptions with nature at its best. Hugs my dear friend.
