Look Out Bullies Everywhere.
A bat flew in my window.
The cat sat on my bed.
They each gave me a knowing smile,
And winked and nod their heads.
It really gave me quite a start,
To have that bat in here,
And then I heard a little voice,
Whisper in my ear.
Why are you afraid of me?
I'm just a little bat.
I'm the one who should be scared,
Because of that big cat.
Always you have been alone,
Different from the others.
Quiet, shy, the butt of jokes,
No sisters and no brothers.
Tonight it is your birthday.
Tonight you turn thirteen.
I have come to wish you well,
From sisters yet unseen.
Now at last the worm can turn.
Things are going to change,
For you're a special kind of girl,
You are not just strange.
I've come to tell you you're a witch.
Tonight you'll get your powers.
You'll receive your special gift,
Upon The Witching Hour.
You are not just any witch.
My Dear, you're born a queen;
For you are blessed to have been born,
At midnight, Halloween.
