Light colors my heart
In a thriving breath of music
Touching my depths with compassion
That reminds me, surely, I know
The love that He bestowed
On my heart and soul
Laughter gentles my eyes
As they twinkle in amusement
Glorifying the grace that decides
My heavenly home, my paradise
The moment I will awake alive
With my guide, Jesus Christ
Love braves the cold
Sweetens my thought with kindness
That comes from knowing the one
Who lives inside my heart
Sending love through my thoughts
And awakening my hope
Living with the knowing
That He is alive, living inside
Brightening the future and breathing
Joy into the afterlife
Gives me assurance that I have faith
Which will touch me with grace
He is my answer to every question
The conclusion to my every prayer
The need that keeps me aware of
Inspiration, insight and intense appreciation
Of the One who died for me
And gave me the chance to be saved
Salvation came with a price
I could not pay
And it was paid by a God
I could not repay
He saves to the uttermost
Without any doubt
I know this Easter gives me the chance
To say “thank you”
For going to the cross – and especially
For rising again on the third day!
Happy Easter!
