Hannah's Four
Can you believe our Hannah is
Already four years old?
She rations hugs and kisses
As though they're made of gold.
She has a mop of long black hair
And long lashed, big dark eyes.
She's just about the smartest child
You'll ever find her size.
I know it's not polite to brag,
But it's a grandma's right
And since I am her GREAT grandma,
I can just brag a sight.
She can write her name, and do her sums
And knows her ABC's.
Our Hannah is nice and polite.
She says thank you and please.
She goes to bed when Mommy says
After she says her prayer
And cannot guess, how much she's loved,
As she lies dreaming there.
