Hallows Eve Scary and Frightening

Hallow’s Eve scary and frightening Yellow moon smiles upon us. Crack of thunder, witchs’ lightning. Trick-or-treat with lots of fuss. Soaking wet costumes in the rain, Hallow’s Eve scary and frightening House to house never a pain Jack-o-lanterns quickly brightening Echo flutter, bat’s ebony wing Candy dropped in bags so quickly Hallow’s Eve scary and frightening Mask clouds vision, oh, so thickly. Parents exhausted at end of day Happy children play in lightning. Toddlers terrified, in a whole new way Hallow’s Eve scary and frightening.

LOVE how you tied this poem up with that last section... the exhausted parents, the happy children playing in lightning, and the "Toddlers terrified, in a whole new way"... clever write!

Whenever I think of Halloween I remember how haggard and tired the parents looked, and it seems like we were always running out in front of cars that were screeching on their brakes, and it was raining on our costumes and it was hard to see out of those plastic masks.
