Recognize Reality
Love feels like you’re in a game
that doesn't follow any rules.
And unsure of what to do,
you're obliged to play with fools.
Trust is more an illusion
fraught with insincerity.
For life's broken promises
often obscure clarity.
Loneliness rallies to hope,
fearful of what fate may hold.
Yet, you must stop shedding tears
on a heart that has turned cold.
To find any happiness,
you need to change direction.
And choose to restart the game
for Love's course needs correction.
Recognize reality,
don't be misled by a kiss.
And clear the fog of half-truths
that blocks you from finding bliss.
Though it hurts to walk away,
it's the first step of many.
And that pain will fade in time;
till soon, there won't be any.
