         lichen covered trees
         mingle with fall foliage-
                     withered leaves falling

                     
                     decked in gold color
                     the woods are in their glory-
                                    yellow turns to brown

                                    
                                    gold aspen and birch
                                    the red of sugar maple-
                                                        a black squirrel flees

These are very pretty. I especially enjoyed the last one. it was very haiku for me! (by the way, "and the red of sugar maple" is 8 syllables. Just take off the word and. I think it will be even better!)

if you sit outside and just observe....Beauty is sure to strike the nerve....that offers only the greatest sensations....every year, autumn is my greatest anticipation....and it has nothing to do with me being born in October....lol
