Gypsy Woman

So many had loved her. So many had lost her. She had a dream once, a gypsy woman in a tent, offered her a look through a glass box that contained golden pieces of paper, the paper held the name of her soulmate. When she asked to see, the gypsy woman pulled a blank paper with no name on it, she looked at her smiling and said “sometimes your soulmate is not of this lifetime”. She never forgot that dream. And every time she has a heartbreak, she goes back to that blank piece of golden paper and wonders…if perhaps it’s her destiny to be with herself and no one else. She’s always loved her own company, she had no problem spending the days with herself, cooking her favorite meals, reading, watching the butterflies flutter or sleeping the morning away…would it be really so bad? Maybe she was her own soulmate and the golden paper showed her that she didn’t need anyone else and as time went by, she forgot all about the gypsy woman, the glass box and just lived her life holding her own love in her heart which had always been enough.
