Sunshine was scintillating, for it was just past idle noon, As the orange summer sun, endlessly chased after the moon. I perceived a pretty hummingbird, upon a giant purple bloom, Its irridescent green coloring, creating memories of June. It was in heart of summer, and golden sunlight hurt my eyes, Like the stinging tears that come, when making sad goodbyes. The heat was upon us, with hummingbirds and red butterflies, And the green bird kept on humming, in a year of dragonflies.

I feel no one can describe nature the way you do. Great imagery, excellent poem and beautiful picture.. Did the poem arise out of picture or did you get a good picture from net. Never seen a hummingbird. They are so pretty. Thanks for the picture.
