Green Cuisine

Lurking in fuzzy leftovers is seen A quivering, crawling hairball of green A florescent prune Or cheese from the moon Gurgles gastric, plastic alien spleen The miser squire requires gluts of caffeine To dissect this science project's gangrene Harpoon on a spoon Zoom to the saloon Lunch ladies' supreme mystery cuisine. 3/15/19 For Green Humor contest Sponsor: Carolyn Devonshire

With my being one with a very fickle stomach, I fully understand the necessity of avoiding green and grossly tainted food. Great limerick and very creative!

G'day Michelle … sounds very tasty. You probably know that sausages and pies are known as mystery bags in some circles - thanks Michelle - Lindsay

No, didn't know that - I just learned in Australia cookies are called 'biscuits' - slang is sure funny!

You put a lot of 'umph' into this, adding more admirable intensity to each image laden line. Superb job. I hope no one does nose garbage - I'll gag, no - I'll click off before that happens. Really, truly - you done good. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Thanks, CayCay, I almost put 'gag me w/a spoon' but that would be too dated!
