Greatness
GREATNESS
A term few truly understand
And the scarce few that comprehend
See in its stead an ephemeral belief
More a fantasy than a reality
Laughing at the audacity a being would possess
To even spend time to think such possibility
A feat born of decision and desire
To do more and to be even more
Refusing to be easily boxed in
Believing so strongly in the yet un-seen
Shutting out the noise that easily distracts
Learn to separate what be wheat from chaff
Grasping that the labour is not in the separation
But in the ability to decipher, discern oat from ort
for to make a mistake at such an intricate juncture
Is to mar what could have been
What would have been
What was to be
Hence...
Greatness calls for the deeper reasoner
the tenacious, persistent and faithful
The believer, not the believer-wanna-be
Who sees through the haze that life truly is
And focuses his percipience instead
On the truth wherein lies one's destiny
To throw aside all that terms superfluity
For nihility has weight, yet no station to present
So take it, thaw it, and from it build big dreams
Seize darkness, and from it force out the light
For did he not say "LET THERE BE LIGHT?"
An order, deep darkness could not ignore
Why then expect less and call yourself a believer?
LIAR! I DARE YOU, if you possess what it takes
Be great, be eminent, and not a thing less
For I have tasted the vital fluid
And in it finally found my truth
I AM .......... GREATNESS!
