Great Escape
G etting away from here, we have a plan.
R eady, set, GO. Me and my man -
E nveloped by twilight’s mist, now flee!
A n island awaits us; we grab a boat;
T o reach our paradise, we sail the sea.
E vening melts into night of sapphire sky.
S tars sparkle as close to the shore we float.
C arefree are we! We’ve severed every tie
A ttached to the mundane. Just he and I -
P eaceful, yet passionately playful -
E mbracing our “alone time,” on the sand we lie.
