Gray Scene
Gray skies move in, as the air is still
Numbness is felt, even in the warmth
You mocked us, criticized us,
Called us everything you could
Never taking the time to research,
Why we may believe what we do
The pain was tolerated for years
Even friends turned away
Now, the transition is upon us
Accomplishments will be wiped away
Things never told by the media,
Things ignored by people who wouldn’t look
It will not ever be forgotten
We will stand by and watch how you react
To something you think is so good
Only to discover, it will impact you too
Because, we are all here together
But, you chose division instead
Now, it doesn’t matter what these gray skies let go
Upon the frozen snow covered ground of winter,
The scene to be seen is now to be lived
