Gratitude
Have we thanked The Lord today
For the wonders He has wrought?
Have we thanked our Lord today
For the blessings He has brought.?
Have we only hugged our sorrows
To ourselves and nothing more?
Or have we done some bad deeds
That our Savior would abhor?
Oh, we owe Him for our lives
And salvation that He paid.
We must thank Him for the gifts
And the sacrifice He made.
We’d be headed for damnation,
If He hadn’t paid the price.
We must thank Him for it daily
And not merely once or twice.
God sent His only son to us
That we know His loving grace.
We’re thankful for the promise
That we’ll meet Him face to face.
While on earth He suffered for us
But He gladly bore the pain.
Now we praise Him and adore Him
For He’s coming back again.
