Grateful Heart, A Warmth Within

The trees that sprout from the tiniest of seeds. The sunny sky A hint of a breeze The warmth from the fire, therein the crackling sparks tease. I’m grateful for it all From the North to the South, filled up mouths. From the East to the West, downy beds. Wealth piled up high Never a restless night. If there comes a day, where all this goes away I shall worry not for there remains one last thing that forever stays. The scares and the bugs are replaced with warm hugs. The worries and the fears, replaced by happy tears. Even with the stress and strain I shall do my best to refrain From ever forgetting who held an umbrella of hope for me under the pouring rain. That’s why my heart is at peace, with the thought of my family So, look around There’s so much you haven’t found So much to appreciate and hold So, hold tightly my dear and tighten your fist For you may never know when it may cease to exist.
