Notes About The Poem

Written for Emile Pinet's The Grandeur of Fall poetry contest.

An English Sonnet with 10 syllables per line.

Premiere Contest WinnerGrandeur of Fall

Poet's ink portrays wonders so profound, as the last crimson rose of summer fades, verdant leaves gently float to soggy ground, weaving a pattern of saffron, beige shades. Autumn's theatre parades vibrant hues, as misty fog covers frozen meadows. Haunting pastels animate artist's muse. as poetic palettes splash glowing prose. Lampposts ignite with cold midnight moonlight, as snow flakes embrace trees in a white fleece. Astral blooms inspire the soul to recite in a rhythmic aesthetic masterpiece. Lost in the elegance of nature's call, art is adored in the grandeur of fall.

Wow!! I really am in awe, mesmerized by the beauty youve painted here in such eloquence dear silent one, its amazing how you can write very different ways in just a day. I love every line in this sonnet, your rhymes are captivating and your use of colors depict autumnal shades gracefully in such an impeccable manner, i especially love the lines “ as the last crimson rose of summer fades, verdant leaves gently float to soggy ground,“ just beautiful and so descriptive. Absolutely love that! -

Wow this line really stood out for me “ Autumn's theatre parades vibrant hues,” just beautiful! “ as poetic palettes splash glowing prose.“ those alliterations are just flawless!!! And the way you’ve written that resonates and would resonate with many. “ as snow flakes embrace trees in a white fleece.” so creative and stunning! This definitely is an aesthetic masterpiece! I loved it! A fave for me: emile writes beautiful poems and im sure he would appreciate this too. BOL
