Goodbye

(Dedication: To the memory of a family friend who went home today, Friday.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sojourn now done, my soul goes home; Truth is bitter but love soothes pain; Empty of dawn, no more to roam; Peace now better, feel whole again; Here for a while, laughter found smiles; Ere we return to live again, Niche earthly styles that fate compiles. Love can discern the path laid plain; I lived my best with courage bold; Mind and heart wrote a tale of joy. Death is sure fest that must unfold; I live in part as kin employs; Etched in your heart dearest of mine: Souls that impart a love divine. Leon Enriquez 27 June 2014 Singapore
