Good-Bye My Love

I’ve been thinking about us, and how our lives have been. One of us always taking, the other giving in. When we made decisions, And chose which dreams should be, Your dreams were set aside, mine were given me. You gave to me precious time, that should have been just yours, to find your fondest love and dreams, somewhere, on distant shores. I never meant to steal your dreams, nor cause you so much grief. Never meant to give the pain, that's caused by disbelief. I never meant to make you cry, Nor have one tear be spilt. Never meant to cause the hurt, that filled you heart with guilt.. I’m praying that your heart will mend, back to its former glow. But sometimes, it’s true in life, a process all too slow. Longingly I look at you, and know that soon you'll be, off to other loves and dreams, a quest to set you free. Someday when your heart is glad, your soul is on the mend, remember the one that loves you, and will to the very end. Good-Bye To My Love. Hello To My Friend.
