All parents can relate to this, remembering the terror of letting the child leave the next. "He’s gone away He was my baby grown up He left one day He went far away"

James, Your heart is in the right place. Gone away..,but never forgotten. They should give out Purple Hearts for all the walking wounded in this world. -Richard

So true, I concur... this verse was written for my high school creative writing class some 35/40 years ago. A lyrical/song from a short story play I wrote called " Mother's Baby Boy" a story about a teenage girl new born inside her body telling his story as narrator while still unborn (boarder line si-fi) James

Book: Shattered Sighs
