Gone a Little Each Day
"Dead leaves lay still until the wind takes them
here and there: even the last flower is withered:
yet there is a beauty in decay. "
Quote by _Constance La France
What is decay but a reveal of beneath
Beautiful lines traced within each leaf
What of the wind that wears stone away
Returning home statues a little each day
Whilst I look upon your beautiful face
I fear the day it'll be gone without trace
There is beauty in loss, but right now we are here
I need to hold close all those that are dear
Already I know how memories fade
I can fix this, not all my choices are made
There's not always tomorrow, but there is right now
Before it's too late, is something I vow
What is decay, but a reminder to all
That our time for living is heartbreakingly small
