Gone

as my sight darkens and wits fade I find solace in surviving the day before sheep are counted and my mind runs wild after a long day of misery I finally crack a smile the sweetest sound elegantly graces my ear hundreds of miles away but she feels right here we muse and reminisce about what went wrong I whisper I miss you but she’s already gone

Ezekiel, you have penned an excellent poem, I truly enjoyed it, having said that is it truly rhyme or perhaps Free Verse would be a better description. Anyways, well done and welcome to Poetrysoup !
