*Inspired by photo
Under the golden leaves of fall
A table waits for us to sit
Quiet moments for time to stall
Shared in this space, where love is lit
By the light of color and trust
Solitude wraps us like a shawl
Our meeting is righteous and just
Open union without a wall
Taking your hand, I remind you
How simple connecting can be
Even with all we have been through
We float like a leaf from a tree
An outside place with nothing more
Is ours to share with words or none
Reaching us to our very core
To sit and let the rest be done
