Golden Iris

Golden Iris tall and stalky and bold, Like a spring church choir you sing your song. And waltz gently in a morning breeze, Just as gently, soon you leave.

This is truly a beauty, Sunlite. Though written in free verse, it has a flowing rhythmic musicality to it. Congrats on p.o.t.d. // paul

This was beautiful Sunlite. The irises are just beginning to stand in my area and the blooms won't be far behind and like your wonderful poem states, won't be around long. So I am waiting to enjoy them while they are here.
