Going Back
Knock knock, who could that be?
Just a second, you look just like me.
But why are you dressed in black?
"It's your time, no going back."
But I still have a life to live,
people to meet, share and give.
"Sorry but with blood clots gathering,
soon you will have nothing to sing."
Put all dreams into one more breath,
now another, must cheat doctor death.
"Wake up, your diagnosis is in,
and your blood we're going to thin."
Dare I sleep again, to check the door?
Sun is shining, darkness no more.
As a shadow disappears, I hear it say,
"Not your time, but we'll meet again one day."
