Going I hugged you at church, and knew you were leaving. I would never see your bright face, again on Sunday morning.. There will be few chances to see you, ever again, maybe never again. I have been changed by you. You have made an impression. It will be lasting. It is one that I will treasure, all the days of my life. God gave me you. You, and all that meant to me. You taught me. Now I see. I miss you, already. The feeling… will never go away. See you in heaven, If not sooner… God’s plan. Perfect!

This is classic! By the way the "new" in the 2nd line of the first stanza might be "knew" ? Am I right?

You are the greatest at this. I love it both ways you have written. You see things so deeply. The first is true. I simply goofed. Thank you for that however. I like to make sure to get things as right as can be. Sometimes I do ... misuse and abuse words...for emotions...as I believe I have read in your work as well. Hehe.. It is our "fun"... Have the very nicest day. Ann

Of course I will appreciate the "new" Will brighten the whole poem, if it means a feeling, suchlike "feeling surprised by someone's leaving".

"I have been changed by you. You have made an impression" Such a beautiful thought. When someone touches your heart, they remain there. No matter what. So many emotions linger within. My heart feels your words so deeply. Congratulations Ann, on Poem of the Day. ~ Brandy

Ann, The train's horn sounds in far away mournful rolling tone in Sunday memories long past. We never know if it is coming nearer..or fading away. -Richard
