God's Gifts
GOD'S GIFTS
God’s gifts to me,
You see
Is more than just an inconsequential thing,
I’m held to accountable be,
In what has be entrusted
And invested into my life’s stages,
‘twas not evident at an early age in time,
For I had to arrive at an age
To be full of life’s experiences,
New chapters of birth,
Pangs of frustrations felt,
Cases of ‘No, Not me!
Backwards steps to go forward,
Down on bended knees prone,
Comfortable places changed to awkwardness,
Feeling of safe to change of space,
Till the time I became malleable,
And clay on the potter’s wheel,
And only and only then revealed,
My last days journey in coming to,
A place through a doorway entered
Now trained in life’s experiences this day and age,
Where I can used to fulfill his greater glory as sage,
And to reveal through me as one of his bards,
And to gift in verse what he wants me to write down in words,
And now I see this purpose be for my life,
And I give all glory to the one
Who in the beginning saw a graceless child
Stumble, fall, cry, curse, sin and begin many times,
Until being well-grounded in given time,
I am the he that HE wants me to be
And I use the gifts of my soul for a better purpose in mind today.
