God Is Not Hiding

God does not hide among the stars Somewhere in forest’s dense foliage, In the depths of distant seas Or creeds of mystical faith traditions, God is not confined to the minds of gurus In the sacred blabbering of preachers Even the beauty of nature’s cycles, Or somewhere undisclosed to humanity. God is not hiding, at all, my dear friend, In all these things making him/herself evident In all things disclosing the divine mind In all things making clear the right paths. God is not hiding, at all, my dear friend, But resides there in your heart and mind Revealing his/her will in omnipresence, And, if you seek God, you will find God.

There is a lot of truth in this Milton, God Is indeed not as we ' see as humans' always..' There are glints; shimmers at times yet God Says you will 'find me when you seek me with All your heart' so the text is in the personal.' Yet I can't believe God is limited to forms? Although the masculine one is always related From Bible script.' I believe that equates to The power of God.' And perhaps the mind as Being more analytical.. But nonetheless we'll Done here at the placement.'

An excellent poem my dear friend LM. I strongly agree with you, God is not hiding. You've described it beautifully and completely in your wonderful poem and summed up greatly in your last lines. I love and enjoyed this precious gem of yours immensely. Congratulations on your win! Thanks a lot for sharing. Blessings. Hugs

Superbly crafted as always, Milt! Indeed, God in-dwells us, which is how every unvoiced intent and desire or fear is known to Him, felt by Him, resolved by Him by His mercy. Warmest congrats on your win!

Congratulations, L MILTON, I agree with you absolutely, God does not hide from those who seek Him...The OT is full of quotes about God hiding His face from Israel b/c of their disobedience; but after the coming of Christ, God is no longer hidden but rather revealed through Him.

i Love your poem, Milton. I don't believe God is hiding, either. I don't know why I enter Seeker's contests. I can never figure out what Seeker is looking for. I believe God is in everything, we just have to look. I think your poem is a winner :)

Thank you so much, Ann. Well, it is true that his contests are rather obtuse most of the time.

This is absolute truth "In all these things making him/herself evident" - all we have to do is open our eyes, our ears and our hearts.

So true, Caren. I really believe this, and I know you do, too.

So many of us were raised to believe that God is a man in the sky with a long white beard. It is difficult to perceive Him in our intimate surroundings, and we feel cut off. Great entry, Robert

Thanks so much, Robert. It is true that we have many strange perceptions of God which were rooted in our childhood.

hiding in plain sight....invisible to the sightless....and annoying as hell to those of us who know better....BUT...don't do it. Nicely written Milton.

Although you and I will just have to disagree on our feelings about God, I do appreciate your thoughts and your comment.

-- and, in addition, He's sending us droughts, wildfires, famines, floods, and 'God knows (pun intended) what else' this summer to try to wake us up... ~ Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Hmmm...well, I say, if God is controlling the weather and using it "to wake us up," then I wish S/he would lighten up! Most of the human tragedies brought on by weather-related events are the result of [our] stupidity. If you build your house in a gully, it is likely to be washed away in a flash flood! etc., etc., etc.
