God Commanded the Light To Shine 2

For God commanded the light to shine; out of earth’s darkness, the light obeyed. The first Christmas, he sent His Son as Light to this world. God’s glory thru Jesus came down. This Light of the World now has ascended back to the Father from which He came. But His Spirit, His Light, he left with us to indwell those who have seen his truth. We house this treasured spirit deep within a body easily broken and cheap, in jars of clay, so all who see understand it’s God alone who has creation power. He keeps us from being struck down, destroyed before we can complete His charted course. Like a servant, we are in His employ once His blessed redemption we accept. This old body is mortal, it shall die; but the light of Christ lives within us still. We'll be raised with Jesus; we keep our eyes fixed upon Him, letting His light shine though us. inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:6-15
