Giving Up Sex
Three friends, one day, in conversation
Were discussing the upcoming lent
What each was willing to sacrifice
And how this precious time would be spent
One said he was giving up drinking
One said, "To stop smoking is for me!"
The third said he didn't drink or smoke
Giving up sex is what it would be
Later, they got together again
The first one said no drinks did he take
For the next, no cigarettes smoked
The third had a confession to make
After a month it was evident
Such lust he never felt in his life
It was soon sated on top of a table
Where he had his way with his wife
For something so wanton they said
The church will surely have a fit
He admitted to them that might be true
The cafe sure wasn't happy about it
