Give Peace a Chance
My breath is found, for now I know that I won't drown
Not in fire, not in fear….not today, not in sorrow….
I see embers of the past burning with red,
Red as the blood, that covers the earth
Swirling red embers, dying cold in wind
Nowhere to go, so they come back again
Falling, returning, as black as the rain
Yet, I dream of living on the edge of the future
Untangling the webs of the past
I gather the cannons, and missles that blast
The bullets, the hand grenades, the rifles and guns,
Daggers, and spears...one by one...
All the weapons of mankind ...until there are none.
Mix them together, then melt them anew..
With infinite precision, molding and shaping,
To build something new, from something forsaken
That rises from the shaken, hate of the earth
To birth splendor's tribute to all the lost souls
Who paid with their lives, in wars of our world
And it would keep growing, too tall for our eyes
Up to the heaven, far into the skies
A silver skinned statue, with a promise within
A silver-scaled symbol, where peace is the prize
Far from the battlefields.......all creatures learn of courage
It comes with the breeze, and deep in the heart of mankind
And is heard in the sound of the bugle
